Sabal Palm Trail is a remote hiking trail in the Picayune Strand Forest near Naples, Florida. This is a great hike for those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle and simply enjoy some of Florida’s nature. The best time to visit is during the winter months as the weather tends to be cooler and bugs aren’t an issue. To get to the trailhead you drive a few miles down Sabal Palm Road until the pavement turns into a dirt road. Right away you’ll notice Herons and Great Egrets all around you as you drive down the road. Not much further you’ll come across the welcome sign and trail head on the right. There’s an empty parking lot where you can pack your belongings before you enter the wild.
